My Top 10 Favorite Books … 2017
I read 28 books on the year by 27 authors, including eight international writers, seven female writers, and seven works of nonfiction. A lot of historical fiction, in fact, three books that made the top 10 were based in World War II, another based in Vietnam, Russia, China, Tibet and Cuba. Continue reading

Top 10 Favorite Lines from Seth Godin’s ‘Tribes’
I read Seth Godin’s 2008 book, “Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us,” recently and I took notes of my favorite lines. I whittled them down from 23 to 10. A quick synopsis … anyone can lead from any position in a company or in the world, they just need to step up, use the tools available to each of us and serve up a creative, compelling message that people will 1. want to follow and 2. want to share.
